WHAT TO DO IN summer in meribel ?

The green pastures, doted by rocks and screes, offer to the hikers such a fascinating show: marmots warm their red fur at the sun, alpine ibexes and chamois flutter about from one rock to another while the quiet stream flows down the valley… There is so much to see in summer… 


 

an unspoilt nature

Nature has so much to offer! You can admire the landscape and observe the plant and wild life!
Created in 1990, the Tuéda Nature Reserve extends from Lake Tuéda to the Glacier of Gébroulaz, passing by the refuge of Saut. On the two banks of Doron des Allues, 1,100 hectares of an exceptional natural habitat are preserved. Near to Lake Tuéda, the Swiss pines, with needles grouped into five, consitute one of the most beautiful Cembraies in the Alps. A botanical signposted route allows walkers to disocver more than a hundred species of mountain plant life.
Vanoise national park, the first nature park created in France, the heart of the park is a natural, protected space spanning 53,000 hectares with no enclosure. It was founded in 1963 to protect the wild life, to welcome visitors and to help with local development.

The Park lies in the high mountains (1,250 to 3,855 m) with Grande Casse as the highest point. 600 km of looked-after and signposted pathways and about fifty refuges are available to everybody. The natural boundaries are: the Tuéda Nature Reserve (created in 1990), the high valleys of Arc and Isère and, in Italy, the Ntaional Park of Grand Paradis.
More than a quarter of the Commune of Allues is found in the park or Nature Reserve of the Tuéda Plan.

ELECTRIC MOUNTAIN BIKING Week

Cylcing without wearing one's self out is now possible ! Even up-hill! 
Test electrically assisted mountain bikes for free and set off on a ride with a qualified bike guid for the afternoon. To round off the day, how about a drink and bite in a mountain restaurant.

WELLNESS Week

A week packed with activities and workshops (some free) on the theme of fitness and wellbeing! In your search for happiness, try a new experience: yoga, dance, meditative hiking, massages, how to communicate and find peace with a horse, aquazen evenings at the pool plus seminars and taster sessions about natural products. Even the restaurants and shops are participating with detox menus, heatlthy cocktails and special discounts.

GRAPHIC ART'S Week

Art takes up residence in Meribel. Discover art collections, graffitis, comics drawing.
Join us to draw with chalk in the streets, realise painting on horses ! Follow our guide to visit a Land'Art studio in the heart of nature or enjoy an art show.

AIRSHOW Week

A breathtaking week : conferences, paragliding show, astronomical workshop, star watching evenings...

TRADITION and AUTHENTICITY Week

Hike with our guides, visit the cultural heritage of Les Allues, go fishing, ride a horse. The week will end with the Fanfoué festivities on Sunday.

OUTDOOR Week
