OLYMPIE RESIDENCE IN MÉRIBEL-MOTTARET: APARTMENT RENTALS IN LE CHATELET
The Olympie residence comprises two buildings, Olympie I and Olympie II, situated in the Chatelet district of Méribel-Mottaret, in the heart of the 3 Vallées ski area. Olympie I is situated at the foot of the slopes, just above the Chatelet shopping centre, whilst Olympie II enjoys a quieter location just a few minutes’ walk from the ski lifts and shops. Agence Saulire offers a selection of apartments here, ranging from studios to four-room duplexes, suitable for short solo breaks as well as holidays with family or friends.
Two buildings, one neighbourhood
Olympie I and Olympie II share the same neighbourhood address, Le Chatelet, but each has its own location in relation to the slopes and the centre of Mottaret.
This arrangement across two buildings allows Agence Saulire to offer, under the same residence name, a range of quite different accommodation options: from a small, practical studio for two to four people
to a spacious duplex capable of accommodating a group of eight.
Location and access to the slopes
Olympie I: at the foot of the Chatelet slopes
From Olympie I, you simply need to cross a small square to reach the main start of the slopes, around 100 metres from the residence. The nearest shuttle bus stop is 50 metres away, at the bottom of the steps leading to the Chatelet mini-market.
Olympie II: walking access to the ski lifts
From Olympie II, skiers have two options. The first is to cross the road and then walk about 150 m to take a small path – which is snow-covered in winter – leading to the blue run (access subject to snow conditions). The second option is to walk about 300 metres towards the Résidence des Plattières to reach the red run known as ‘L’Aigle’ and get to the main ski lift departure point.
As for public transport, the nearest bus stop to Olympie II is just before the Chatelet shopping centre, about 400 metres away, at the ‘Chatelet’ stop. This is the same stop served by the shuttle bus from Olympie I.
Apartments available to rent
Agence Saulire’s range of properties in the Olympie residence includes various types, from studios to four-room flats, with capacities generally ranging from 3–4 to 8 people depending on the property.
At Olympie I, there are, in particular, studio flats with a sleeping area: a living room fitted with a sofa bed, a sleeping area with bunk beds, a kitchenette with a microwave, fridge, dishwasher and electric hob, as well as a bathroom with a toilet. This type of accommodation is well suited to a couple or a small family looking for a convenient base close to the slopes.
At Olympie II, the accommodation is larger. For example, there are 4-room duplex flats for 5 to 6 people, with a bedroom featuring a double bed, attic bedrooms fitted with bunk beds or pull-out beds beneath skylights, and a kitchen opening onto the living room. Other flats in the complex include 4-room duplexes with a mezzanine for 8 people, featuring a living room with a fireplace (firewood not provided) and several bedrooms spread over two levels.
Facilities vary depending on the accommodation chosen, but commonly include: an oven, fridge, dishwasher, hob, electric coffee maker or Nespresso machine, kettle, toaster and flat-screen TV. Some flats at Olympie II are served by a lift up to a certain floor, with an additional floor accessible via a staircase; again, this depends on the flat and its floor.
