Renting in Méribel-Mottaret: choosing your neighbourhood and your week
The neighbourhood really does make all the difference to your stay in Mottaret. Shops right on your doorstep, traditional architecture or unobstructed views from further back: each area has its own character, and the price reflects this.
Mottaret centre, Le Hameau, Le Châtelet, Le Laitelet
Méribel-Mottaret is not a single, unified area. Four neighbourhoods, four distinct atmospheres:
- Mottaret centre has shops, ski lifts and restaurants right on your doorstep. The ideal choice for car-free holidays and groups who want everything within easy reach.
- Le Hameau offers traditional timber and stone architecture, with ski-in/ski-out access and a more residential atmosphere.
- Le Châtelet and Le Laitelet are situated slightly further back. These residences are often more spacious and intimate, with unobstructed views over the valley.
Here are a few examples of residences where we have flats available to let:
- Les Crêts, Le Pralin, Le Sérac, Les Plattières,
- Le Mont Vallon, La Grande Rosière, Le Ruitor,
- Les Provères, Antarès, Creux de l’Ours,
- Le Dandy, Le Boulevard, Les Alpages, So Pure.
A base in the heart of the ski area
Mottaret is the highest point in the Méribel valley accessible by car, at 1,750 metres. It is also ideally situated for exploring the 3 Vallées in both directions.
Val Thorens and Les Menuires on one side, Courchevel on the other, without having to go all the way down to the valley floor. Towards the end of the season, this altitude makes a real difference to the quality of your return journey on skis!
Prices and periods
Prices depend firstly on the time of year, and secondly on the size of the accommodation and the residence.
Christmas and February need to be booked several months in advance. Early December, January (outside school holidays) and spring offer the best value for money, with much less crowded slopes.
The price shown on our website includes: rent, water and electricity. Bed linen and towels are included in some flats. Please check the details for each property.
Tourist tax and end-of-stay cleaning are charged as extras. If the cleaning service is not included, you are responsible for cleaning the flat before departure.
You’re sure to find the perfect apartment for you!

Your questions about holiday rentals in Méribel-Mottaret
How much does a week’s holiday rental cost in Méribel-Mottaret?
Prices vary widely: a studio flat at the start of the season and a five-room flat during the February half-term holidays have very little in common.
The time of year remains the main factor, ahead of the size of the property and the residence. Each listing publishes its weekly price list.
Which area should you choose: Mottaret centre, Le Hameau, Le Châtelet or Le Laitelet?
It all depends on what you’re looking for:
- Mottaret centre for shops and ski lifts right on your doorstep.
- Le Hameau for traditional architecture and a quieter atmosphere, with ski-in/ski-out access.
- Le Châtelet and Le Laitelet for accommodation that is often larger and unobstructed views, though it’s a few minutes’ walk or shuttle bus ride further away.
Tell us what you’re looking for in your holiday, and we’ll help you choose the right area.
Are your apartments ski-in/ski-out?
Most of our properties are, but not all. Some residences in Le Châtelet and Le Laitelet require a few minutes’ walk or a shuttle bus ride.
Each listing states this explicitly, using the terms ‘at the foot of the slopes’ or ‘close to the slopes’. There’s a corresponding filter in the catalogue.
What size of flat is suitable for how many people?
From studios to 5-room flats, for around 2 to 10 people. In the mountains, studio flats with a separate sleeping area and 2-room flats with a separate sleeping area can accommodate a family of 4 to 6 people thanks to the separate sleeping area.
Use the ‘travellers’ filter in the catalogue to display only the accommodation suitable for your group.
What exactly does the displayed price include?
The rent, service charges (heating, hot water, cold water, electricity, etc.) and bed linen and towels, depending on your booking terms.
Tourist tax is not included: from €0.90 to €1.65 per night per person aged 18 or over.
End-of-stay cleaning can be booked as an extra via your customer account. Without this service, you’ll be responsible for cleaning the flat before you leave.
Can I bring my pet?
As a general rule, pets are not permitted.
The ‘pets allowed’ filter in the catalogue directly displays the properties where you can bring your pet.
Where can I park my car during my stay?
Once you’re there, you won’t need your car. The resort car parks and private parking spaces at some residences allow you to leave it there for the week.
The ‘garage/car park’ filter in the catalogue highlights properties that have a parking space. Remember to bring any special equipment you might need for the drive up (snow chains, snow socks, etc.).
