There are some places you never quite leave behind. Méribel-Mottaret is one of them.

 

It was here, at the foot of the world’s largest ski area, that Agence Saulire first opened its doors in 1984.

Forty years on, we’ve stayed true to what’s close to our hearts: the mountains, and the people who choose to live there, invest there or simply spend the best winter of their lives there.

1984: It all began in Méribel 

 

In 1984, Bernard Blanche founded Agence Saulire, a name rich in meaning that refers to the iconic peak in the Méribel valley.

Over the years, it has become Méribel’s longest-established estate agency – a status that isn’t simply claimed, but built up, winter after winter, on the trust of property owners, buyers and holidaymakers.

A family business that has remained independent

 

Forty years on, Agence Saulire remains true to its founding principles: a family ethos and complete independence.

 

Independent, because we are not part of any group: our decisions are made here, close to the ground and to our clients.

Family-run, because we cultivate close, trusting relationships that stand the test of time. Here, we know the owners by their first names – and very often their children too.

Our story is, first and foremost, about the people behind it 

 

Behind every set of keys handed over, every sale completed, every apartment maintained, there is a stable and loyal team: the very same team that ensures the continuity of our story.

At the helm is Audrey, a native of the Méribel valley, who now manages our two agencies after more than twenty years with the firm.
She is supported by a multilingual team – speaking French, English, Russian and Spanish – who are on hand all year round and organised into three specialist areas: lettings, sales and maintenance.

FAQ – Your questions, our answers

 

Why should I entrust my property to Agence Saulire rather than a large national chain?
Because we’re here, on the ground, all year round. As a family-run, independent agency founded in 1984 by Bernard Blanche, a local from the valley, we know Méribel and Courchevel La Tania like no one else. 

 

Am I free to stay in my property whenever I like?
Absolutely. Before each season, you simply let us know your own holiday dates. The rest of the time, the property is made available for rental. And if you change your mind during the season, simply contact us or log in to your online owner’s portal to check availability in real time.

 

How is damage caused by tenants handled?
The agency covers the cost of repairing or replacing anything damaged by a tenant, excluding wear and tear and electrical faults. A full inspection of your flat is carried out at the end of each season: inventory check, thorough cleaning, and cleaning of carpets and bedding where necessary.

 

When and how am I paid?
Payment is made by 30 May for the winter season and by 30 September for the summer season. Monthly instalments are paid during the winter season. If you need an advance payment, simply ask us.

 

How can I track my property’s bookings and income?
Via your online owner’s portal, which is accessible at any time. Here you’ll find your current contracts and options, a breakdown of your income, and the option to add services to your next stay.

 

On which platforms is my property advertised?
Booking.com, Airbnb, Maeva, as well as the booking centres, travel agencies and tour operators we’ve been working with for years. Your property benefits from maximum visibility, without you having to manage a thing.
